Cyrene and Robert

Hi all, I’m Cyrene, a Filipina born and raised in the tropical archipelago known as the Philippines. I’m a 30-something year old, first-time mom to our chubby-cheeked Moppet. I’ve been toying with the idea of using my love for writing and my family to create a blog for months now and I finally did it! I hope you enjoy coming here to read my posts as much as I enjoy composing them. I will try to write as much as I can – as I’m sure you know, between feedings, diaper changes and various demands from the Diminutive Queen, it can be a challenge to sit down for 5 minutes straight to even sort out one’s thoughts. And I must warn you, I almost never could write anything short.

Family comes in second only to God. They are what keeps me going and I am very thankful for them! Aside from writing, I love music, books, movies, some television shows and traveling. And who can forget chocolates and cakes, ice cream and milkshakes?!

My husband loves photography and needless to say, his favorite subject is our daughter. Sophie isn’t even a year old yet and we literally have hundreds, probably a thousand, of her pictures already. I’m a huge fan of his work, so you’ll see a lot of those photos here.

Moms get flak for letting go of themselves once they start popping out the lil ones so I’ll have to say I also think it’s fun to get all dolled-up and sassy when I go out but I’m at my most comfortable when dressed down and wearing my broken-in, worn-out flipflops. I don’t need to get all pretty to take care of the Ladybug, that’s for sure!
